The Journey Starts Here

With your brain and nervous system.

The mind and body are intricately interconnected. It’s difficult to affect one without impacting the other in some way. Therefore, when we struggle with a physical illness or disease, the mind experiences changes, and vice versa. When our hearts are overwhelmed with distress, our minds become disorganized.

Our thoughts, emotions, and mental attitude can impact our physical health, and our physical health can influence how we feel.

Talk therapy has it’s place, but sometimes words aren’t enough— especially when trauma lives in the body. Understanding how the nervous system works facilitates greater self-awareness, self-compassion, and agency in the healing journey. This is where somatic or neuro-experiential modalities, such as Brainspotting, come into play. They help us access parts of the brain that traditional talk therapy cannot reach and allow the brain and body to heal as they were designed to.

    FREEDOM

“There were so many traumatic years in my life that I had worked through in my mind but never in my body. Every time I shoved an emotion down, smiled through the pain, and pretended to be fine, my body remembered.”

Our offerings are designed to unlock and empower your body’s innate ability to heal, just as it was designed to. Read more about the modalities used to facilitate this process.

    Brainspotting

Brainspotting is a powerful, focused treatment method that works by identifying, processing, and releasing core neurophysiological sources of emotional and body pain, trauma, dissociation, and a variety of other challenging symptoms. It accesses trauma trapped in the subcortical brain, the area of the brain responsible for motion, consciousness, emotions, and learning. It supports the understanding that “where you look affects how you feel.” During a Brainspotting session, you can say as much or as little as you feel comfortable!

    Heart Math

Heart Rate Variability training focuses on syncing the heart, brain, and body to help manage stress. Through biofeedback technology, HeartMath focuses on the emotional rhythm of the heart to manage stress and deal with stressful symptoms such as depression, anxiety, trauma, anger, insomnia, and more. You can expect HeartMath techniques to be implemented during the initial in-person session.

    Amanda Cox, Mother of Client

  • "The insights shared within the group session that I attended helped shed light on how to navigate stressful high pressure moments. Also, the 'homework' that was asked of us was what set this practice apart from others. This homework encouraged us to not just stop with the group session but to do the work in our day to day to gain and learn important insights about ourselves."
